An analog telephony adapter, (ATA) is a device used to connect one or more standard analog telephones to a digital and/or non-standard telephone system such as a Voice over IP based network which is having single, dual, and quad port.

They are equipped with one-telephone jacks to connect your existing phones. With an appropriate Internet telephone service provider, you'll get VoIP telephone reception.

The Telephone Adapter is compatible with these and all of the other special telephone features that are available from your Internet telephone service provider, such as Call Transfer, Call Waiting, and Call Forwarding etc.
